A Prayer for Now

A Prayer for Now

All of the following scriptures give us good precedent and reason to come together in faith and pray for a halt to the pandemic caused by the Corona virus outbreak.
James 5:16 says, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Matthew 6: 9-13-
9 Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

John 12:12-
12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you [c]ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Mat 18:19-
Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

So, here is a crafted prayer I am asking those of you who have faith to believe that God can and will intervene in this crisis to pray together in agreement.

"Father we come together in faith, believing that Your will in heaven is the most        powerful force in all the universe. There is no storm, plague, sickness, calamity, or pandemic can withstand Your intervention.
While our offenses and faults are many, we believe that you are a merciful God and ask Your forgiveness.
We ask that You intervene and squash this virus and stop the advance of it's effects and spread in it's tracks. We ask for healing for those infected and comfort for the friends and families who have already lost loved ones.
You are our high tower of strength, protector, and comfort and joy in every kind of suffering. To You be all the Glory in Jesus mighty name. Amen"
